This is a very nice survivor Holley List 4557 carburetor. This was used on 1970 L78 396/375HP and LS6 454/450HP engines backed by a 4 speed transmission. The date code is 9B1 as shown which decodes as the 1st week of December, 1969. This is a very hard to find date. This carb is in very good survivor condition as shown. The carb is totally complete including choke parts as shown. The plating is original and looks very nice as shown. All parts move freely. The gaskets appear to be original. I removed the bowls and metering blocks to show that the internals are as clean as the externals. The front metering block is stamped 6328 and the rear is 4519 as shown. The only flaw I see is the rear vent tube boss had a split in it so I used metal reinforced epoxy to ensure the tube stays put. Of course, the carb will need to be rebuild before use.
